    Angry any idea how i could find my users profile directory on the Samba Server ???

    Hello every body thanx for your interest .. actually i have a problem that i couldn't find my users profile path on my SAMBA server i configured the smb.conf file

    logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U
    logon home = \\%L\%U\profiles

    and logged on from the microsoft xp machine but i couldn't find any of those directories created on my Samba server in the first time i logged on it told me that it couldn't find my profile path so it will log men on with an temperrory one but after that it stopped giving this error ...

    any idea how i could find my users profile directory on the Samba Server ???

    you shouldn't even have to do anything with your smb.conf file any more, if you right click a folder in Nautilus and click sharing options it should install and auto configure everything for you (assuming you are using Ubuntu)
