Where to Start?
Dear Fellows,
I am Network Administrator for a long time and have MCSE and CCNP under my belt, Now I want to master linux administration as I think that by learning linux I can also handle Sun Solaris and Unix.
To accomplish my task I need a step by step help to from where should I start, What training material should I get?
What book should I buy?
Which flavour of linux is best to start?
Your comments and advise will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Mahir

Check the link in my signature for lots of good information about getting started with Linux. You'll also find a couple of polls there that might help you to pick a distribution or two for starting out. Install your distribution, then dig in and experiment with it to learn its inner workings. Try other distributions after a while to keep your interest up and to see how they compare.
You can google for free linux ebooks if you'd prefer free reading regarding Linux. Hang out here at the forums for lots of good advice that comes on a daily basis.
Hope you will have lots of fun with Linux.oz
