    [SOLVED] Blacklisted myself?

    I recently became co-owner of a server, however upon trying to ssh it became apparent the root admin gave me the wrong password by mistake;
    After trying several times with the wrong pasword thinking I might have mistyped I have now blacklisted myself, huzzah.

    How can I reset or clear the blacklist?

    Sorry if I missed something obvious, but could you ask the root admin if he could remove your IP from whatever security app that is blocking you?

    If not, you'll need to find out what script they're using to block IP's then use another IP to log in and remove yourself from it via that script.

    Don't forget to ask the correct password
    Aloof linux user #whatever.

    I tested off the charts for MENSA. Unfortunately, it was off the wrong end of the chart.

    Unfortuantley the root admin knows even less about his server than me. xD

    However, I managed to get a hold of one of the members of support team for the server this morning and it was just a simple case of restarting my router and release/renewing my IP.

    Thnaks for the reply, and yes, I'll be sure to get the right pass this time. xD
