    Hi and Welcome !

Linux installation is very easy. Could you post your Machine's specs like RAM, Disk Space, Processor and Graphics Card etc.?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Welcome to the forums!

Determine what Linux distribution that you want to use. Download the ISO file for it from their website, burn the ISO file to disk as an image, then boot with the newly created installation disk and follow the on-screen instructions for installing it:

You can learn a lot about getting started with Linux by reading the info contained in the link found in my signature. You can also find a couple of quizzes there to help you pick a distribution that you might like. Hope you will have fun with it.
