How to you mount a removable storage in Kubuntu 9.10 that is running on a dual-boot machine with Microsoft Windows XP.

Hello and Welcome.
Start up your machine in Linux and make sure all drives all plugged in then issue this command, please.
That's a lowercase L not a 1. Tell us which drive is which, as much as you can, let's see what we got going on here.Code:fdisk -l

By removable storage, what do you mean - USB, eSata, other? Most external storage devices that use either a FAT or Linux (ext2/ext3) file system will automount. NTFS file system generally need to be manually mounted.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I got it to work by reinstall kubuntu with the devices plug in. thank you vey much for your help

thank you for the help and i got the removable storages mounted: USB flash drive and MP3 player by reinstall the software and having the devices plug in.
