Best lightweight Linux that is compatible with TrueCrypt and JDownloader

Hello all, I need such a OS on a old system for mass downloading and experimenting downstairs.
Also I would prefer if it doesn't require too much Linux know-how and is operable by my Windows 7 system via networking. It doesn't need to be compatible with TrueCrypt or JDownloader specifically if alternative software for it exists.

    Thanks in advance.

How lightweight do you need? What are the system specs?

I would recommend Crunchbang Linux. It's based on Ubuntu and the wealth of info and support available for Ubuntu on the web will be applicable. Plus Truecrypt has a download for Ubuntu on their website.

Jdownload is a java app, so should run on anything with a java runtime environment installed.
