    Color Syntax in Eclipse

I am a Windows user, but where I work I use a linux machine running ubuntu. Still pretty new at the whole linux thing, though I am quite enjoying it. My question is, how can I enable color syntax in eclipse. I use eclipse on my windows machine, and when I finally got it installed on my linux computer, it worked well, except for the fact that there is no colored text. I looked all through preferences, and there's even an option about color, but it doesn't seem to affect my editor as it is all still black and white. Thanks for the help.

is this a remote connection or your local machine? the defaults out of the box should be the same as on windows, i have done no customization on mine and it looks exactly as it would on windows
