    Need distro other than Ubuntu suggestions

    Alright, i have ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop and i love it. I just got my hands on a desktop with a C2D, 2gb ram, and an nvidea 9800. Im looking for a good distro other than ubuntu, im looking to expand my knowledge. Anyway, it needs/should be good for a beginner/intermediat user and able to be a good desktop environment for all around use.

    Iv used Fedora 11 a little but i had an issue with it not 10min into my experience so i switched to ubuntu. Wouldnt mind trying this again, Fedora is on the top of my list as of now.

    I would suggest you to try LiveCDs of as many distros as you can and decide yourself. Nobody can tell you what is best for you. Check Polls listed in my signature.

    If you have specific problem in any distro, don't hesitate to start a new thread.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
