Karmic + Compiz Tiles
Hi All,
Has anyone gotten tiles to work in compiz? I've seen a youtube video but haven't had success myself. I have installed the plugin but when I select it the check mark lasts about 5 seconds and then goes away (have read that this is a common problem but haven't found a workaround). Since W7 so nicely showed me a feature that has been around in Linux for quite some time, I'd like to get it working as I see it to be quite functional. Thanks allBodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17

What do you mean by tiles? I have nothing like that in compiz config. Can you link to the video?

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

YouTube - Snow & Tile Plugin - Compiz Fusion - Ubuntu 9.10
It's the W7 thing where you drag to the top to full screen, dragging to the left and right make it half screen. Compiz had this ability ages ago but it was unsupported because a lot of people didn't like it or use it (not exactly sure why). Since then it's been canceled all together from what I can see but that video shows it working in Karmic, and from the looks of it, it works better than the W7 one.Bodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17

Well, I can't even find the compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported package and I'm on 9.10 (64 bit)

Yeah I had to manually install the plugin, the unsupported is broken for 64 bit Karmic
