    Clonezilla is considered to be an easy to use app for cloning partitions. Some other imaging applications can be found here.

    I am using PartImage for last 2-3 years and it works really well. No problem till now.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    I use Clonezilla for both Linux and Windows machines... Works very well. Makes a backup that actually works...
