Install Firefox 3.5 on Unbuntu server 9.10

Hello All,

Thank you in advance for you replies.

I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 Server on a machine primarily as a LAMP & File server. I also have installed Webmin with this.

The problem is oviously I need a browser to do this. I am having issues trying to install firefox 3.5 and the open correctly from terminal to access Webmin. I am very new to this especially commands wise to open Firefox. Idont know if I need to change directories to open it. A few guides I looked at said type in ~firefox/firefox. Which didn't work.
Also I saw something about profile which I haven't setup yet. Would I need to do this?

Can anyone give me some steps or point me in the right direction.

no, it's not obvious that you need to install a browser for this
The 'A' in LAMP stands for Apache, which is a web server. It delivers web pages (like Webmin's) to the outside world.

So you need a browser only on the computer you sit in front to. You connect to your server over HTTP(s) and it should display the interface on your client.

I am a little confused.

The server that I have installed is installed on my main desktop comuter. I want to try and open webmin though a browser on this same computer while in the terminal of the ubuntu server . Is this possible? or do I have to connect via another computer to the network and use my webmin http(s) address to access my server through the second computer?

Tried my mac with safari typing in my webmin URL and it didn't find anything.
