Backing up a server via Plesk
Hello,
I am using Plesk 9.
I'm trying to set a backup of the whole server at a certain time.
I have gone into backup manager on the Plesk Control Panel and set up a daily backup of the server but it does not run at the set time.
I also noticed that after setting up this scheduled backup, nothing appears in my cron list (that I look at via SSH using 'contab -l) . I'm therefore assuming that Plesk handles the sheduled backups set in the plesk control panel by some other means.
But if this is the case then why does this line exist in the cron list:
4,19,34,49 * * * * /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/backupmng >/dev/null 2>&1
Can anybody shed any light on this for me? What is the link between 'backupmng' and the Plesk Control panel scheduled tasks?
I tried to put this post up in the Parrallel Plesk forums on the Parrallels website but it won't let me post - just keeps saying cannot create new user when I try to log in!
Thanks in advace
C
