    Welcome to the forums!

In my own opinion, Gnome and KDE are about the same as far as being easy or difficult goes, although KDE4 is still a bit buggy in places due to a recent overhaul of the entire project. That said, you should be fine with either.

The best thing to do would be to try both and make up your own mind.

    Hello and Welcome!

    Ditto what oz said.
If your coming from a Windows environment, then either one will be easy enough to navigate.
Many find KDE more like Windows, but I (personally) like Gnome a little more.

With that in mind, if you come from a Mac background then Xfce would be right up your alley!

I do not respond to Private Messages asking for Linux help. Please, keep it on the public boards.
