[SOLVED] Lost my grub

Hi,

I have faffed around with my hardware & software, and now when i fire up i get:

Error: no such disc
grub rescue>
> ls
(hd0) (hd0,5) (hd0,1) (hd1) (hd1,1)
grub rescue>

I hope i've just de-activated the partion or something. Does that make sense?

Hi,

You messed up the partition with the MBR I guess.

Try:

grub rescue>
root (hd0,1)
setup (hd0)

Reboot your machine.
