    I don't have linux and I am attempting to upload a re-vamped website to a server. Upon completion an apache page appears instead of the site telling me to upload to "directory /var/www/html/". I'm not a boffin and have no idea how to do this as there is no directory of that name in the ftp root. I believe this is a linux issue. How do I overcome this? My operating system is windows xp

    My hunch is when you log in via ftp, you should be in /var/www/html already. I think maybe Apache is just giving you the full path.
