compiling source for Dlink DWL G122 c1 wireless dongle
I'm trying to install the driver for this dongle on GOS 3.1. I unloaded the tar.gz into a directory and read the readme file and then attempted to follow the instructions, but I'm getting errors all over the place and it can't find the right files. I was hoping maybe I could figure it out myself without bothering anyone else about something that seems like it should be rudimentary and mundane, so I looked at some tutorials for the terminal and compiling software, but they seem to have things in a different order than the readme file says to do them. Should I not be trying to install this driver on this OS? Is there anything that stands out to an experienced user that I should be noticing? I have attached the readme file and a text file showing what has transpired in my terminal. Thanks

Hello and Welcome.
I think GOS is not the best choice of distro, if you can get any other distro that would be doing yourself a big huge favor. With that said, you are missing GCC, which is what everything compiles with. I'm not familiar with GOS and there probably is not many people here who are familiar with it, so I can't really offer much help. I would say to start here and post the requested info anyway.

As MikeTbob said, you are missing the compiler. You need to install the GNU tool set first.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
