    [SOLVED] audio files from cd's

this is probably simple, but I can't make it work....how do I get adio files ( songs ) off a cd, and into a folder on the HD? I'm using mint 8 kde...ironically the only media player that works ok is gnome player.. I edit video with kdenlive and the audio is that last step, and I AM STUCK! I emailed a wave file to myself from a mac, and it played one time, the second time i tried to play it...got : error; unsupported file, will be removed. I'm willing to change distro if this is an ( ubuntu ) issue, any suggestions much appreciated.

I've got Mint on one of my partitions, Gnome version.
Rythmbox does the job for me.

Ripped a couple of CD's and stored them in my Music folder.

    Solved!

thanks ROK, it has been a while since i did any audio editing at all, I had forgotten all this. I got it working perfectly with ( gnome player ) kdenlive is working great with mint 8 too. some of the media players that came installed with mint 8, just plain don't work at all. gnome player is simple, but functional.
