    Newbie & Media PC for DVB card

    Hi
    I am a newbie to linux and really enjoy using it.

    I have a oldish PC (intel celeron 1.4, 256 MB ram) with a skystar DVB-S card. I would like to use it as a Media PC to view channel and listen to music etc.

    I have tried Linux DVR, Geexbox and Movix without any success. Can anybody recommended a small Linux/one for older pc Distro for me.

    Have you tried mythtv? MythTV, Open Source DVR
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
