hi there

i am totally new to linux and have an IGEL 2110 Thin Client .

i want to use it as a cctv device for the vehicle as the thin client runs on 12v and as most dedicated cctv systems use linux these days i thought that it might be possible to use the thin client with 1 or 2 usb cameras and a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive to make a diy unit.

i guess i need a few ideas on which linux to install and how to install onto the hard drive from the flash card and what other software i would need to complete the package.

i would be grateful for any input.. thanks.
