Ugh...is something wrong with my Mandrake cd?
I'm trying to install the latest nvidia drivers, and it tells me I need binutils installed. So, I load up the Mandrake Control Center, choose the correct packages, and click install. It tells me "Insert the installation disc blah blah blah" so I do. I close the CD Tray, and click OK. The CD tray pops back open and gives me the same message. I check to make sure the right CD is in there and it's in properly, and close it, then click ok. Same message pops up. I check the bottom of the CD, and make sure to clean it correctly, pop it back in, and I get the same message.
So, is there something wrong with my CD, or what?

write down the package name u want
copy the rpms from /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS onto a hard drive. Then run the rpms from here.
Mine does this sometimes too.

You don't have to copy the RPM from the CD. Just install it in place. Like this:
Code:rpm -Uhv /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/binutils*
