having a bit of a nightmare:

My pc asking for me to enter my default keyring password everytime after I login was annoying, so I deleted the keyring 'default' because i thought it would go away. because i'm a linux newbie. mistake. now 'error initiating conversation with authentication system - general failure' is displayed at the logon screen everytime I start up and try to login.. even though I don't have a login password.

I've checked online but all the fixes are for people who added 'include common-pamkeyring' to their gdm file in pam.g - what I should have attempted in the first place... i guess no one made such a stupid move

does anyone have any ideas or fixes? or should I start the reinstall?
