Hi Im having the following problem.

I have a pc with 2 hard drives... 8gb ram

one hard drive has ubuntu installed, and the other OEL 5.5 .. both 64 bitlinux o/s

recently I have had a problem with the ram in my system and have had to remove one of the ram sticks reducing my pc to 6gb...

but im having a problem when using either of the o/s ... when trying to do something intensive .. eg.. running large database queries or running an application that creates dummy data ... the o/s just freezes...

its only started happeneing since i removed 2gb of ram from the system.

has anyone had problems like this before or know how I can solve it?

Any help would be appriciated
