Damm small linux
Hi
I have downloaded the Damm small linux iso ,and burned the image to the CD with infrarecorder .But when i try to boot it from the CD ,I get the DSL logo and press enter to boot ,then the computer freezes with two small penguins in the top left corner of the screen.
Can someone give any advice on what to do.
Thanks.

Hi,
do you get an error message or can you at least say where the system freezes?

Damn small Linux was made back before a lot of this new hardware was made. Plus is has been frozen in development for a long time now
You have not given computer specs in your thread either.
That said. Did you md5sum the downloaded iso. Google md5sum Ubuntu and learn to md5sum.
Also. I prefer to suggest using ImageBurn for burning a Iso Image.
Third. If wanting to try a more modern small linux live distro.
Puppy, Tiny Core (a modern Damn Small Linux Version), Slitaz, are just a few to try.

Go to OSdisks.com and pay $3. postage for a Live-CD.
Worked for me.

That would be osdisk.com.

Dapper,
Thanks.
I am tinkering with the boot methods and Grub (old/new) in Ubuntu and Knoppix.
Using Crux? then you are far more expert than I.
