    someone recompile a kernel for me? i have no linux experience

    so i have no linux experience, i've been trying to solve this problem for a week now. finally got access to a linux computer from school but it's running an old version of gnome and i'm getting errors that i don't know why. help is so limited so its been really difficult for me. i am to the point of almost giving up and just want to ask someone for help. everyone who's done this before says it's a fairly easy process, so gurus please help me out

    background: trying to recompile a kernel with usb > ethernet support+drivers so it will work on my beagleboard C4 device running 0xdroid eclair 0x5
