    Info on partition tables needed.


    Question 1. Does gparted etc. just write to the MBR?

    Question 2. Is this the only record of the partition table?

    Question 3. How do i find the sectors that the partitions occupy?

    Please expand on these.A yes or no is not implied.

    1. Read the gparted documentation.
    2. Probably, as far as I know.
    3. Run the command fdisk -l
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
