Basic command lines
Thanks Dan for the basic command lines, though I may not understand them right now, I may find them useful at certain stages in my 'learning' of LINUX now and in times to come.
If I understand those command lines are used in the Terminal, right?
Pls also enlighten me about the characters at the end of the sentence " Basic command lines......newbie..".(like me)". Appreciate feedback by people who are great at programming.
Thanks again.

I'm not entirely sure I'm answering the right question here but what the heck it's Saturday!
In many programming languages the . operator is string concatenation and the codes ( that's an open bracket ( and ) is a close bracket )
they are based on the ASCII code for the character. So it looks like the text Basic command lines for newbie (like me) has been encoded for some reason .
