    Is torrent is better to download an iso

    I have downloaded iso such as Lubuntu ,xbuntu ,puppy linux , Debian 5 etc .
    It is a hit or miss so far . Some cds work other just dont .
    I burnt them using minimum speed .
    Why torrent download is recommended to download an iso

    they reccomend it to safe bandwith

    When you download an iso, torrent or direct, you need to run md5sum on the resulting image and compare that with the published md5 checksum that the download mirror provides. They have to agree. This is the most common cause of non-functioning Linux CDs or DVDs.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
