SONY digital voice recorder does not support Non-Window environment

I have a SONY digital voice recorder Model ICD-PX720. Its driver only supports Window environment and thus I have not been able to transfer the recordings (lectures) to my notebook for eventual burning on to a CD. Is there a driver or any alternative that will help me solve this issue? Thanks.

I dont have that device myself, but if this post is true:

and it really does not show as a usb-storage, then thatīs it.
You will not be able to use it with anything else than windows.

And also it seems, that this windows software doesnt get maintenance and updates from sony anymore, as it has problems on w7.

    Windows??

Guess I just have to be really inquisitive about driver support (for non Windows) for devices to be acquired in the future. I DO NOT intend to acquire a Windows OS for my computer. NO THANKS.

Hey, thanks for sharing what you know regarding this issue.

Borrow a friend's Windoze XP computer, install (with their permission) the driver, transfer the files to a thumb drive, and voila! After all, what are friends for?
