Internet connection problem
Hi,
I have an Internet connection problem. The computer I'm using which is running Red Hat Enterprize Linux Server cannot connect to Internet. I can ping machines working in our local network. Static IP addresses, DNS, Default Gateway, Subnet mask, they all seem to be correct. I restart network interfaces but that doesnt make any difference. Other machines in our local network are connecting to Internet without any problem. What shall I do?

Hi there,
First of all you should post details of the error you are getting. "It doesn't work" doesn't help us diagnose the problem.
Ping google.com from a command line and post the results here and we might be able to help.

Hi,
I didnt have chance to post a reply yesterday. Today I found out that in our university, Information Services desk blocked the Internet access for the MAC address of the computer I'm using. We will sort it out soon hopefully.
Thanks for your care and help for my problem. Thanks a lot.
