Hey, I have a small problem.
Hi All,
Im a network specialist for a company and they want me to test their network security. Im well aware that windows is about the worst platform you can use for security testing or well... anything, so i did a little bit of research, and I found and downloaded Backtrack linux (Which I Discovered is an offshoot of Knoppix linux), and i found a great knowledgebase and a huge list of great tutorials for the installation and use of backtrack linux at offensive-security..com(<-It wouldnt let me post a url. lol). The trouble that i am having is that i cannot connect to the internet. I have backtrack installed to the hard drive on an older IBM T22 Thinkpad (Laptop) with the factory standard 10/100 Ehternet hardware, and after some research i found that cisco's aironet series WLAN adapters are highly compatible with linux and i just happened to have an aironet 350 WLAN adapter sitting around. The trouble is that i cannot get either of these devices to be recognized by backtrack and cisco no longer supports aironet drivers for linux. Any Help Would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JL Griffin

Hi there,
Can we get more information. Particularly what have you tried already (if you are following a howto then a link to it would be great) and what errors are you getting when you try to connect to the Internet.
Let us know how you get on.To be good, you must first be bad. "Newbie" is a rank, not a slight.
