    weird moniter glistch ?

    I just downloaded,burned installed mint 10 on my gateway notebook, all went fine, except there is a small white rectangle at the top left corner of the screen, ( right where "file" would be in firefox" I can push icons underneith it, so i know it's not a pixle thing, any ideas ? thanks

    Sounds like it might be some kind of driver anomaly or maybe Xorg, if that is what Mint is using. I am having problems with the latest Xorg-1.9.2.902
    on Gentoo and that is why I mentioned that. Which version of Xorg are you using?

    thanks mike, this almost seems like a "dropdown menu" that somehow got locked down, with nothign on it..im gonna install this mint on another comp, and see if it's just the gateway...there was issues with mint 8 on this machine.
