    Fresh install of Fedora 14

I just did a fresh install of fedora 14. I have a toshiba satellite A135-S4656 laptop. I'm having trouble getting to the internet. I have a modem to computer setup. I tried resetting the modem seeing if I just needed to have the modem release from a previous set up. I'm not sure if fedora automatically installs the NIC driver. If it doesn't this would be my problem, and any assistance anybody could please give me with getting the driver and going through the process of installing the driver would be excellent. I'm a windows guy fooling around with unix.

    Thank you

How is your system set up? Is that an ADSL modem? It's not connected by USB is it?

If it's a stand-alone ADSL modem/router, it should be simple enough to connect the network port of the router to the network port of the laptop. Check that DHCP is turned on in the modem/router settings.

If you're using a regular dial-up modem then you'll need a dialler program to dial out. You may have problems if the modem is an internal one which puts the software for its operation into a windows driver.
