    I have a P3 800, 512 ram.

If I install Puppy Linux on the hard drive will it still run entirely on RAM?

Can someone please recommend some other distributions that can do that?

Depends on your bootline after install with Puppy . Mine below

    Code:
title Puppy Linux 511 frugal in sda5 dir
    rootnoverify (hd0,4)
    kernel /vmlinuz pmedia=atahd pfix=noram
    initrd /initrd.gz
The pfix=noram entry I put in my grub bootlader (I use AntiX 8.5 to boot on this lappy)
means I run Puppy off of my Hardrive. Reason is this rig is a P3 256MB ram lappy.

Another run in ram distro is Slitaz
