    Identifying installed apps in Linux

    Hi,

    I am not using Linux, but need to interpret some data dump obtained from a set of Linux servers. I have obtained a list of installed packages/applications on these servers, but as I look for some of expected packages like few Oracle apps, Roxio, Dell apps, I cant find them. Do the names appear different in Linux? We have similar data from our windows servers and the data is quite straight forward and as expected..

    For eg: I should actually find these on the linux servers..but cannot...

    OPNET Report Server 2.5.5 | 2.5.5.0
    OPNET Report Server 2.6.2 and nCompass Administrative Server | 2.6.2.0
    OPNET TestCreator
    OPNET VNE Server 7.0.1 | 7.0.1.0

    which linux are you using?
    Redhat, Ubuntu or Suse??

    Commands differ on each of them.
