    Question My Xubuntu is not full screen! HELP!!!

    So I recently installed Xubuntu 10.10 on my old IBM thinkpad and it does not show the option for my resolution nor is it full screen. It is super tiny and it is starting to get annoying. I am SUPER new to linux and am super impressed with it so far. Thanks InerTia*

    I'm not Ubuntu but

    What does

    Code:
    $ xrandr
    Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 600, maximum 4096 x 4096
    VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
    LVDS1 connected 1024x600+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm
       1024x600       59.5*+
       800x600        85.1     72.2     75.0     60.3     56.2
       640x480        85.0     72.8     75.0     59.9
       720x400        85.0
       640x400        85.1
       640x350        85.1
    TV1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
    Show you.

    Also

    Code:
    $ lspci
    00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/PM/GMS/910GML Express Processor to DRAM Controller (rev 04)
    00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 04)
    00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 04)
    will show graphics stuff. Might have to use sudo before issuing lspci command in terminal for Ubuntu. I don't run Ubuntu 10.10 as it comes with too many new bells and whistles for my tastes

    Code:
    $ cat /etc/issue
    Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 \n \l
    So Just bumping your thread a little so Ubuntu 10.10 techs can look again at your thread.

    I had a Toshiba once that had the same problem, and being a newbie couldn't get it adjusted in ubuntu. I did find that some different distro's did recognize the right size or allow manual adjustments. AntiX, Imagineos (formerly Goblin os), and Puppy all worked, as I recall.
