    [SOLVED] Mapping Network Drive

    Hi, in my windows7 laptop, I installed a virtualbox 4.0 then Fedora 14 as OS.
    Can I transfer the files from Linux system to windows syatem?
    I mean can I create a relationship between two OS like mapping network drive?

    Yes, it could be done as if you make a network connection between this machines. But if you want to do it between windows/linux I suppose you will need Samba.

    If linux is a windows client, where Samba will be installed?Linux side or Windows side?

    from Samba documentation :

    Samba runs on Unix platforms, but speaks to Windows clients like a native. It allows a Unix system to move into a Windows "Network Neighborhood" without causing a stir. Windows users can happily access file and print services without knowing or caring that those services are being offered by a Unix host.
