    Basic Command Line Commands

    Does anyone know where I can find basic commands for use in the linux terminal, Ie instal, running, listing directories, uninstalling, disk space, mounting and unmounting devices.

    I have looked on google and many of them are alot more advanced that what im looking for, Im looking for the basic everyday commands to get better at the command line.

    Others have listed some good basic command references.

    Installing/uninstalling software varies by distro. Redhat bases distros like Fedora, RHE, SUSE, etc use rpm and yum to install where Debian based distros will use apt-get but both support tarball installs and binary installs. Generally best bet for installing software is too look up the docs for your specific distro for details.
