os only to play music , watch video and see photos

Hi friends .. ..


Some times we just switch on our pc only to play some music,movie or to see photos.

For that simple task why have to boot our whole os and run extra unnecessary processes.

Can't we have any os that only plays only pic,movies and mp3 and boots fast????

Hello and welcome!

You can install a base system only with certain distros, such as Arch, Debian, Gentoo, etc, then install only the apps you want or need on top of that, and you can turn off any unnecessary services/processes so that they don't run at system boot.
