    Virtual Machine - Linux

    Hey,

Im not to sure if im on the right thread of asking questions of this topic?.

I have a running Fedora-14 Linux Virtual Machine for a while now, and ive been doing some college practical work on it. Today I just turned on my VM and I get a non related menu Ive never seen. It looks like its on a run level 3, and I would like it to be back to the normal GUI interface (run level 5). Its a menu of 'GNU GRUB' where I can enter commands after 'grub> '
Ive added an attachment of a screen shot of how it looks like when Ive booted the VM.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks

To change run levels, you can use the command init. However, the prompt you are receiving is your boot loader, which presents itself before the kernel has been initialized and run levels established. To boot with grub, I suggest you consult this guide:

I think that you are not in a run level. Run levels allow you to login.
