Best Jukebox For Linux Mint XFCE (Debian)
I've been "playing with" several Linux distros over the past several months and have finally settled on Linux Mint which has recently come out with a rolling distro (Linux Mint XFCE) which is Debian rather than Ubuntu based. I've been getting mixed messages (most warnings) about using Banshee as it is possibly not Debian compatible. Rhythm Box is unsatisfactory. I've been using J Rivers Media Jukebox quite satisfactorily on my Windows XP.
My Question: Recommended jukeboxes for Linux Mint XFCE. I don't need a media player since the jukebox will only be used of mono and stereo music, mostlyogg vorbis and mp3-vbr.
Thanks,
Dick

In AntiX running Debian Wheezy repos I run some lightweight music players.
QMMP which is like xmms.
Goggles Music Manager
Gxine
Install libxine1-all-plugins for goggles media manager and gxine to work correctly.
For streaming pandora radio through terminal I run pianobar 2011.01.24-2
I use a splitter cable to connect my sound card jack to a 200 watt per channel stereo receiver in my motorcycle shop to blast the music in there using pandora.
For ripping streaming music. I use stream tuner. For terminal ripping of Utube videos I use cclive.
All these are in my synaptic package manager. You will have to add goggles repo to /etc/apt/sources.list
