    I found a linux product call PCLoginNow, possibly an offline reg-editor with a gui and dumbed down for guys like me. It gets into the booting and debian busybox and makes these declarations

    /bin/sh: can't access tty job control turned off.

    When I try to get ubuntu to go live I get:

    There are file sys specific 0 flags
    can not mount /dev/loop1 on /cow
