    MP3 Tagging from Terminal

    Hi All,

I currently use EasyTag to tag all of my MP3 podcasts (default names are horrible) and then have to use terminal to change permissions on the podcasts. What I would like is to write a cron job that auto does this every day but I'll need to start using a terminal based tagging software. Does this exist and can I find something that is as good as easytag? Thanks in advance

I use id3convert (from the id3lib package) and id3v2 for this stuff, very cool utils. I think exiftool (belonging to the perl-Image-ExifTool perl module also does metadata read/writing of media files. Check for them in your system repos.
