    .iso spans two dvds

    Hi ...

    1. I dont know if it is appropriate to ask a similiar question or to start a new thread.

    2. I would like to ask a similiar question regarding burning a DVD from the 4.7GB RHEL Client.

    3. My DVD size is 4.4 GB and 4.7GB RHEL client would need two of DVDs

    4. So if i burn into two disk will the installation failed.

4b. My installation failed but i do not know if it is the buring corrupt of the two CD situational failure.

    5. Thanks

    Hi third_day,

I split this to it's own thread as it's a different issue to the old one.

My understanding is that a single .iso file is for a single physical media so spanning it over two dvds would fail. Is it possible to burn a bootable USB key instead of DVDs?

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

    There are two options:

    1. Install the ISO on a thumb drive that is bigger than the image. You can use Unetbootin to do that.
    2. Burn the ISO to a double-layer DVD.

    Either should work just fine.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a 4.4 GB DVD. Are you burning
as an image or just copying the ISO onto the disk?
