Question Looking a Linux machine for j2ee development

    Hello,

I am completely fed-up with Ctr+alt+del, by killing not responding processes , slow start-up of my machine and restarts again and again

Planning to buy a new high performance machine with Linux which support my high-end J2EE development.

Please suggest me a good machine and best Linux OS.

My budget is $500 to $800.

    Thanks,
    Vijay Kumar

Most any current Linux OS will do just fine. Select hardware that is known to work well with Linux. Are you going to get a laptop, or do you prefer a desktop type of system? Also, where are you physically located? If in the USA, then visit ZaReason Linux Laptops, Desktops, Servers and more for systems that have Linux pre-installed on them. Good people, decent prices, excellent support.

    Tanks Rubberman ,

I am planning to buy laptop.

I see zareason alto 3800 and looks good to me, but they have very limited international support.

I have to see some options in HP/Dell/Toshiba.

    Thanks,
    Vijay

I know that zareason will ship internationally, but then you are responsible for customs, tariffs, and all of that cruft. Anyway, good luck! In any case, do contact zareason - they may well know how to navigate these waters to your best advantage - or not!
