    docking station...laptop screen

    Slackware 13.0.0.0.00.0...
    When I plug my laptop (sony vaio) into the docking station, the screen I am viewing pops up on my monitor perfectly however the laptop screen does not go dark. (GUI screen, not console obviously)

    I would prefer the laptop screen was dark when docked and GUI'ed.

    I have looked under the power management commands in the man pages but if its there, its not jumping out at me. By the way I am running blackbox as my GUI.

    Most laptops have a hardware option to do that sort of thing. Look for a FN + *insert button that has a monitor picture on it* and cycle through it from monitor LCD out to Externel LCD out.
