how can i instal .zip file
hi i'm trying to install a .zip program on my linux mint i just don't have any knowledge on linux systems what can i do i tried goggling but all there is related to Linux commands i'm also not any good with the Linux command line are there alternatives..please help

are you trying to install a program to compress / decompress zip files or a program in a zip file

There a lot of options to install packages supporting .zip archive. You can install zip and uzip or p7zip.
I would suggest you to try Synaptic Package Manager in Mint. Search zip/uzip and p7zip in Synaptic, go through descriptions and install whichever you like.Code:sudo apt-get install p7zip
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
