Home Server, Nas and Media Server
I wish to create a home server (DHCP, DNS, FTP, Samba...), NAS and media server. What distro will be better for that purpose? CentOS? Ubuntu? Gentoo? I would appreciate any help with that, and also, what hardware will be the best choice for that?

Centos is a good option, Another good option is CLEAROS ClearFoundation develops ClearOS, a Linux Network, Gateway, Server

I haven't had a chance to actually try it yet, but I've been looking in to Amahi Home Server and will be trying it out shortly.

i am running a zentyal server at home on an old PC and it is working extremely well i have a xbmc and a freenas server setup up
