I'm running with 1gb of swap, i'll try 2gb this time.
I believe theres no problem with my disk, cause I did the check
and i think there was one bad sector marked by chkdsk.
Though my hdd works differently on linux and windows, maybe
it's the pagefile, maybe it's not.

Even though, what are pros and cons of arch comparing to debian sid?

Arch is much more flexible, IMO. It gives you much greater control of packages and configuration.

Only reason I bring up the disk is because you really shouldn't have issues with the system being sluggish with a default install of even a fully loaded system like Ubuntu :-\. I'd give a different drive a shot, but who knows. Especially if there was already some bad sectors found in the current one.

It really comes off as something iffy with the hardware setup, but I could be wrong, I could be overestimating that setup, but I doubt it.
