    What is the linux command to create and edit a xml file?

    for simple and small xml files: any texteditor will do.
    You must always face the curtain with a bow.

    Ok thank you! so I use command cd to enter the path then I use the command vi. Do I just type vi filename.xml?

    Yes, vi should work, as it should be available even on the smallest systems.
    And your syntax is correct.
    You must always face the curtain with a bow.
