hello. very limited Linux knowledge here... built a dual boot Ubuntu/XP system (seperate SCSI drives) around 2009. Haven't run the Linux side in a while, just select XP when GRUB loads, now Linux drive has gone belly up. get to GRUB loading. error: no such disk grub rescue> and am lost from there. XP partition seems fine and I don't need the Linux drive on this machine, just want to boot direct to XP drive. Sorry for the ignorance, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. searched posts here, didnt find exactly what i need. any help much appreciated!
